Issai means “flourishing at an early age”. The flowering is very rich. During flowering, leaf development is very slight.
Growth habit: Height of the bush 3-5 meters. Ranking with the sun, winding to the right.
Flowers: The flower color is blue/purple and the raceme is approximately 25 cm long.
Flowering time: May – June

Prolific has more flowers per truss than other varieties. The individual flower is also larger than average. This means that the Prolific has very beautiful, full flower clusters.
Longwood purple is less vigorous than the asian types, making it more desirable for those who don't like those fast growing types.
